FACE |
|
|
| Foundation / concealer
|
Start with clean, exfoliated skin. After allowing moisturizer to soak in, apply foundation lightly to areas that need evening or coverage.
Next apply concealer to the inner corners of the eyes and underneath to cover dark circles. Apply a small amount of concealer to the eyelid as an eye shadow base. |
| Blush |
Choose a delicate pink shade. Apply blush in layers until you get a delicate glow. If your face is wide or round, apply your blush to the apples of your cheeks. Otherwise, apply higher on the cheekbone like Hilary. |

EYES |
|
|
| Eyelid |
Apply a pearly gold or neutral shade from the lid to the crease. |
| Crease |
Apply a pearly light brown shadow or fawn in the crease from corner to corner. Blend very well. |
| Hilite |
Use a pearly shade of off-white or cream on the browbone. Use just enough to brighten your eyes. Blend very well. |
| Eyeliner |
Choose a dark brown shade if your coloring is warm. If your coloring is cool, you might be better using dark gray. Use a powder liner with a thin damp brush.
Apply a VERY thin line to the top lash line, from corner to corner. Use a VERY light touch and get the color in between the lashes. You can try dotting your way across the lash line and then going back and filling in to create one continuous line.
Repeat all the way around the eye, top and bottom lashes, until your lash line is just filled in. Keep the line thin and light. It should serve to just make your eyes "pop" and the lashes more pronounced.
If necessary, lighten the line by lightly dabbing it with a cosmetic sponge. This works better right after liner has been applied and is still a little damp.
Finally, trace a super-thin, delicate line around the inner corners of the eyes. |
| Mascara |
Curl the upper lashes. Coat upper and lower lashes two times with a black, thickening mascara. |
| Brows |
Use a sharp pencil or brow powder and brush to shape and fill in your brows, if needed. Choose a shade as close to your hair color as possible or just a bit darker.
Start by defining the arch of each brow. Step back and look at your entire face in the mirror, and then fill in the rest of the brow as necessary. |
LIPS |
|
|
|
If your lips need smoothing, brush them gently with an old, soft toothbrush dipped in a petroleum jelly and table sugar mixture.
Choose a matching, delicate pink lip liner and lipstick that coordinate well with your blush.
Apply one coat of the lipstick and blot with tissue, then apply a second coat. Repeat for longer lasting power.
Then, line the lips, blending lip pencil into lip color just a bit. Start with the peaks of your top lip and work your way around from there.
Top with plenty of clear gloss. |
