Julia’s makeup is fresh and dewy. To get this look, apply a light foundation only where you need it to even out skin tone with your fingers. Apply concealer to dark circles and imperfections. By applying concealer after foundation, you can avoid over-doing it. After you apply blush (below), dust lightly with a loose powder to set makeup and keep it from running.
| Blush |
Dust a brownish rose powder blush with a large brush to apples of cheeks and blend back along cheekbones. Now apply your powder all over, and whisk away any extra with a large soft brush.

| EYES |
| Eyelid |
Start by applying concealer to the entire lid to even out color. This will also helps shadows last longer. Cover the lid and crease in a neutral, pinkish beige. Then brush on just the lid, a pearly charcoal or gray. This shadow should be a powder but look creamy, without being frosty.
| Crease |
The crease color needs to contrast with the lid, to define the eye. In this look, the darker color is on the lid, so the crease shade has to be lighter. At the same time, it has to contrast with the highlighter. A matte rose browns will work great. Use a crease brush to apply shadow from the crease line to about ¼ inch below brows. Hold a pencil from outer corner of eye up toward your brow. Don’t apply crease eye shadow beyond pencil. Use back and forth sweeping motions, like a windshield wiper, to color in this area. Blend carefully by gently pressing a soft brush against shadow and twirl the brush.
| Hilite |
Use a soft, pale, shimmery pink in the entire area from the crease to the brow. Next, put a tiny amount of the hilite color on your brush and sweep along the entire lower lashline and in the inner corners of the eyes. You can put a touch on your cheekbones for added glamour. |
| Eyeliner |
Line the upper and lower lash line with a black or charcoal pencil. Keep the line thin and as close to the lashes to start. Build on each line until you have the desired thickness. Define the inner corners for extra glamour. |
Brows |
Define brows with a brow wax. A wax will help tame flyaway hairs and help to define an arch.
Mascara |
Use two coats of black mascara. Curling your lashes beforehand will create a bright-eyed effect. You may want to separate lashes with a lash comb when mascara dries to maximize the natural look. For extra glamour, add some individual false lashes to the upper lash line at the outer corners.
LIPS |
Line with a neutral rose/beige liner. Apply a coat of a nearly neutral mauve lipstick. Blot the lipstick with a tissue and apply a second coat. Repeat the process if you want to be double-sure of its staying power.
