1. Let hair air dry if you have natural waves; if not, apply volumizing lotion and blow dry hair with a diffuser, scrunching it softly with your hands as it dries.
2. Using large hot rollers or a large-barrel curling iron, curl 2-inch sections all over, creating big, loose curls.
3. Pull hair back casually, secure it into a loose ponytail with an elastic band and wrap the end of the ponytail loosely around the base and secure with bobby pins. Work gently as you pull your hair back and arrange it into place; though you're wearing an updo, for this look, you want to be able to see the curls, too.
4. Pull a few wispy tendrils out in front, on each side, and arrange them to frame your face.
