Eva Mendes' fancy updo combines twists and shine for a style that's sure to be a hit at your next formal fete. What to do:
1. Start by applying a smoothing cream to hair, then blow drying it straight with a paddle brush.
2. To add polish and get hair perfectly smooth, spray small sections with a heat protectant spray, then run them through a flat iron.
3. When hair is glossy and straight, brush all of it back into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Create three or four sections from the hair that's coming out of the ponytail; twist each one several times, then wind around the base of the pony and pin in place.
4. Spray all over with a strong hold hairspray to finish.
