1. Wash hair and apply a texturizing lotion. Textured hair is easier to keep in place for an updo look. Blow dry with a diffuser, scrunching hair with your fingers.
2. Use a large-barrel curling iron and spiral wrap 2- or 3-inch sections of hair all over head. Finger brush curls, lifting and separating them to add more body.
3. Pulling hair from back of head and back sides of hair, pull hair into a ponytail at the back of your head, at the top, and secure with an elastic band or sparkly clip. Twist hair into a loose bun around the base of the ponytail and pin into place.
4. For front and front sides of hair that were left out of ponytail, put hair wax on fingers and take a small section of hair, twist it and loosely pull it back towards crown of hair. Pin it into place, tucking ends of hair into bun and "hiding" the pin in the bun. Repeat until all front and front side hair is pinned into place. Spray the look into place with a medium-hold hairspray.
