Marcia Gay Harden's voluminous balloon bun works best on long hair. Steal her style:
1. Start with unwashed hair (it will have more grip). Apply a generous amount of styling mousse from root to tip and let it set.
2. Use a teasing comb to backcomb hair at the crown and roots of your head. Once you've reached the height you want, smooth it back into a bun, and secure it with an elastic.
3. Slip on a braided headband for the finishing touch, and mist all over with strong-hold hairspray.
