1. If your hair isn't already wavy or curly, apply curling cream to damp hair and blow dry hair completely using your finger tips instead of a round brush (no need to try to get it straight because you're just going to curl it).
2. Next, use a comb to part directly down the middle, all the way to the back of your crown (we're talking severe part here).
3. Then, curl 1-inch sections of hair with a curling iron, holding for 20 seconds, then let each piece cool and set without disturbing the hair.
