2012 Grammy Style Awards

When it comes to fashion, musicians aren't known for playing it safe. See which stars got the thumbs up for their Grammy look

2012 Grammy Style Awards

Let’s start with the elephant in the room: Whitney Houston. If anything could eclipse the Grammy’s, it’s the death of one of the biggest pop superstars in the world. But, as they say in the biz, the show must go on. And it did, with musicians walking the red carpet in every shape, color, and vampire cape (?) out there.

Even with a tinge of sadness in the air, the Grammy’s didn’t disappoint when it came to major fashion moments. Along with the oohs and ahhs, there were more than a few WTF screams at the screen. So, we decided to approach this fashion roundup a little differently. Instead of your normal best-dressed list, we came up with our own list of awards — and all of them aren’t “best,” if you know what we mean.

Swap “Best New Artist” with “Biggest Eyesore,” or “Album of the Year” with “Most Revealing,” and you’ll start to see where we’re headed. You might even be surprised with our winners. (For the record — pun intended — Lady Gaga didn’t win the WTF award, but can you guess who did?) So, let’s take a moment for Whitney, and then start our style award ceremony. Drumroll please …
