Everyone needs a coverup

a. Let your bathing suit show a bit, by letting a shoulder hang off or have a low v-neck.
b. Coverups should be loose and comfy, and ideally sheer enough to let your bathing suit show. Don't go for a skintight tee or dress at the beach, it's a classic case of trying too hard.

• An adorable beach bag, it's a great way to add color if you're wearing a black swimsuit
• Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!
• Cute sandals (a step up from those rubber flip-flops you have), but skip the heel, you don't need it at the beach
