One of the biggest hat trends this summer is the western hat -- a classic, masculine type with a high-crown and a wide brim, says Roberts. When shopping for this type of hat, keep in mind that you don't have to go with the unadorned, traditional style. Instead, look for "beaded embellishments, leather straps, and silver western accents," says Roberts.
When wearing a western hat, Roberts suggests pulling the brim over your forehead, and slouching it to one side. As for your hair, Tina Dizon, celebrity hairstylist and owner of Los Angeles-based salon The Private Room, says to keep your hair down in soft waves. "With a more masculine type hat, you'll want to counter that look with a more feminine hairstyle."
