Light knits are the perfect accompaniment to any outfit -- yes, even when it's hot out. Here's how to wear this trend
First thing to consider when it comes to summer knits: the weather. Since it's summer, you'll want to look for a fabric that breathes well and won't cause you to overheat. "Cottons or feather weight cashmere is ideal so you don't get too warm," says Sanders. Miller agrees, "As long as air can seep through the material, there's no reason why you can't wear a sweater in the summer."
Once you find the right fabric, you'll want to think about size. Since summer knits are all about comfort, "they should be worn slightly oversized," says Sanders, "never super tight." And since you can choose how much skin to show based on the knit pattern, a big sweater can still be sexy.
