Proper — But Not Prim

This versatile look would be just as appropriate at work as it would on a date. Scarbrough tells us how to get it.

1. Create a deep side part, and set hair with large hot rollers.

2. Once rollers are cool, remove them from your hair.

3. Backcomb at the crown for more volume.

4. Gather a large section of hair (about 3/4 of all your hair), and roll it into a French-twist like bun at the back of your head.

5. Pin 4 to 6 pins in X-shapes to secure the twist to your head. Make sure you have one strand from the twist and one from your scalp in each pin to hold it in tightly into place.

5. Let your ends drop down and gently brush them so they’re extra smooth.
