1. Start with damp hair. Apply a dollop of leave-in conditioner and distribute it through your hair using a wide-tooth comb, like Ricky's NYC Swissco Wet Comb, $9.99.
2. Brush all of your hair into a ponytail at the back of your head. Make sure your hair is nice and sleek, and secure it with an elastic.
3. Twist your ponytail around the elastic to create a thick bun, and secure the ends below your bun with bobby pins.
4. Apply a dab of styling gel to your palms and run them over your hair to tame flyaways.
