Believe it or not, there’s actually more to Ke$ha’s look than rolling out of bed and heading out the door. Even if you’re not sure it’s your thing, “give bedhead a chance,” say Martinez and Silverman. Here’s how to get the look:

1. Part your hair down the center, and run a generous amount of thickening mousse through your hair.



2. While your hair is still damp, separate it into several medium-sized sections. Braid a few sections, and twist the other sections. Secure all of your braids and twists into a bun at the top of your head, and let it dry naturally.



3. Once your hair is dry, take out the braids and twists and run your fingers through your hair.



4. Mist your bedhead waves with salt spray, and scrunch them with your hands for a beachy vibe.
