This is one of my favorite ways to keep my bangs out of my face. You may think a ponytail is super generic, but trust me, it’s anything but boring. All it takes is a headband and some volume to put a spin on the average pony.

Get the look: On dry hair, spritz some texturizing sea salt spray through your bangs and crown (I used Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray, $13). Use a teasing comb to tease your bangs and hair at the crown. Slip a thin elastic band over your head to push your hair back at the crown. With your fingers, gather all of your hair back into a messy ponytail while adding texture to the back of your head.
