Lowlights: Something everyone can enjoy

Pelusi says anyone looking to update their hair color should consider adding red lowlights, like Lea Michele has here (yes, it works on blondes too). In case you're wondering what the heck lowlights are, they're basically the same thing as highlights (streaks of color rather than an all-over color), but they take your hair darker instead of lighter.

To get the look, ask your hairdresser to add a few foils of red lowlights along with your usual hair color/highlights. The result will be a warm, auburn-y look -- perfect for fall.
