Braids for Short Hair

Short on hair but big on style? Try these braids for short hair when you want an easy fix to a blah hair day

Braids for Short Hair
Just because you have short hair doesn't mean you can't flaunt beautiful braids with the best of them. This is one of the best braids for short hair when you need an easy, unique look.

For a cute braided updo, start by curling dry hair with a 1-inch barrel curling iron. A curled style will help your short hair stay in place. After curling, run a small amount of finishing cream through your hair to create a texture that will help solidify a style. Next, clip off the front section of your hair on both sides, from behind your ear up to your part. Begin pulling up the back of your hair by tucking and rolling it from behind the ear, bobby pinning and hair spraying as you go. Repeat on the other side. The two twists should cross over one another in the back. Now, move on to the front section you clipped off earlier. You should divide it into two sections and braid them both diagonally across your head. Try inside-out braids if you want them to stand out a little more. Pin the tail end of your braids into your twists. On the other side of your head, you can choose to braid it or just twist it back and pin it in. Spray your hair with a strong holding spray. Tada! Your braids for short hair are complete.

For a more casual style, try the above braids without twisting and pinning your hair back. Waterfall braids and French braids can all be substituted for the traditional or inside-out braid.

Don't be afraid to try out different braids for short hair. While it may be frustrating at first, your hands will learn how to work with your hair with practice.
