Running out of ways to style your short hair? Here are some looks we guarantee you haven't tried before
Hairstylist Natasha Sunshine says that if I'm nervous about changing up my hair, the easiest transition is to play around with texture. "Mini braids are a great way to add texture to an asymmetrical cut," she says. So for day two, I try a wavy version of my typical look.
1. I start by blow drying my hair using just my hands to give it a rough texture.
2. Once my hair is dry, I wrap small pieces of hair around the barrel of a 1-inch curling iron to create waves throughout my hair. Then I use my fingers to soften the waves.
3. Next, I braid three small sections of hair and weave them together to form a slightly larger braid. I secure it down with bobby pins, and bring some hair forward to cover the pins.
4. I finish by misting my hairstyle with Pureology Colour Styling Strengthening Control Hairspray, $19.
