No more whiny complaints about Fashion Week's avante-garde looks. This is my attempt to stop saying, "It's gorg, but I could never do that!"
I am a huge hair flair freak. What's a "hair flair freak," you ask? It's someone who hoards barrettes, clips, headbands, bobby pins ... basically any type of fancy jewelry for your hair. So I was all over this look from the Dannijo show. That, and it was actually one of the few Fashion Week hairstyles I looked at and thought, "Yeah. I could totally do that."
Dannijo hair clips will run you a couple hundred dollars, so I just used a brooch I got from a vintage shop in Austin, Texas. All I did was pull my hair into a low bun at the nape of my neck, and then attached the flower pin using a couple bobby pins and extra hairspray for hold. The whole process took seconds.
