No time for a shower? No worries. These styles will keep that day-old (or week-old) hair looking good, no matter the situation
All it takes to liven up a bun is to add a twist. It's easy -- just twist pieces of hair back and include them in your bun for a more romantic and dramatic look, says New York City hairstylist Luca Blandi. See how Alejandra says to get the look:
1. Mist unwashed hair with beach spray (try Aussie Catch the Wave Hair Spray, $3.99) and massage it into your hair.
2. Take a large section of hair near the top/side of your head. Tease it slightly to create some volume and lift near the forehead area. Twist this section and pull it toward the back.
3. As you twist your hair back, add another section of hair from the hairline to the twist. Continue adding hair from the hairline as you continue the twist down to the nape of your neck. When you reach the nape of your neck, secure the entire twist down using bobby pins.
4. Twist the rest of your hair into a bun, secure it with a thin elastic. Use your fingers to tug at the bun to mess it up.
