7 Skin Care Myths — Busted

Have you ever seen the TV show “Myth Busters?” In case you live under a rock, let me explain. These two men (and their gang of cohorts) pick a myth, like “Can poppy seeds really cause you to fail a drug test?” and then set out to find the truth. So what does this have to do with skin care? Well, if I had my own show, it would be called “Beauty Myth Busters,” and every week, experts would debunk some of the most popular beauty myths.

For starters, these top seven skin myths. Chances are you’ve heard a lot of them — and probably still follow them. After all, most of these myths promise clear skin and acne help. And who doesn’t want their skin to look its best? I know I do, and I was definitely guilty of following a few of these myths … that is until I busted them. Now I know why you shouldn’t wash your face twice a day or exfoliate more often than every two weeks. Yup, those things are both wrong. Shocking, huh?

OK. So I don’t have the dough to create my own TV show, and I’m sure the real Myth Busters wouldn’t want me stealing their idea, so consider this the first of Beauty Riot’s “Beauty Myth Busters.” I got the experts, the explanations, and great new tips that are actually correct. All you need to do is sit back, start reading, and not be afraid to shake up your skin routine.
