Be the Hottest One on Your Summer Vacay

Tip no. 2: Don’t try so hard

The biggest style crimes you’ll see committed in Cabo? Caked-on makeup, orange legs, and spider lashes … just to name a few. In other words, red carpet on crack. This year, go against the grain and let your natural beauty do the talking. You’ll be in the sun and around large bodies of water all day, so you’re actually doing yourself a favor. (And you won’t have to worry about mascara streaks down your face when you get thrown in the pool.)

To get a naturally dewy look, just use a bit of tinted moisturizer with SPF. “You want to look like you’ve got nothing on,” says makeup artist Stacey Ellis of Byu-Ti Salon in Santa Monica, Calif. If you really want to be low-maintenance, you can use a multi-use product on your eyes, cheeks and lips, says Wood.

Then, give yourself a soft dusting of a lightly shimmered powder bronzer on top of your skin for a subtle glow that people can’t help but notice. “Hit your cheeks, nose, forehead, and chin. And if you have any excess on the brush, dust it onto your collarbones and arms,” says Wende Zomnir, Creative Director and Founding Partner of Urban Decay.
