We know how much you love nail art. Here's our roundup of the best new styles on the Web -- and how to get the looks
Not afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve, er, nails? Try this design created by Stephanie from So Long, Kitty. Here's how to get the look:
Polish Suggestions: Misa Blush Hour (white-pink), China Glaze Something Sweet (pink), Essie Body Language (pale grey)
1. Apply a base coat.
2. Paint two coats of polish as follows: pink on your thumb and ring fingers, white-pink on your index and pinkie, and light grey on your middle finger.
3. Apply a top coat to your thumb and while it is still wet, apply gold microbeads in a half-moon shape at the base of your nail (the beads will stick to the wet top coat). Create a second half-moon shape above the first one. ("You can find microbeads at a craft store, like Michaels, or on eBay," says Stephanie.)
4. Now working on your middle nail, apply a top coat, and while it is still wet, place gold microbeads in the outline of a heart.
5. Paint polka-hearts on the remainder of your nails in a contrast color (pink hearts on the white-pink base and white-pink hearts on the pink base). To get the polka-heart shape, you can use a detail brush, dotting tool, stamp, or even the end of a bobby pin.
6. Finish with a top coat.
