Backstage at Ruffian, MAC makeup artist James Kallardos told us how to subtly brighten up eyes: "Use a pearl-colored eyeliner on the inner rims." He says it catches the light and is less obvious than a bright white or navy blue liner (which can also help brighten eyes, but are way more noticeable).
