The scenario: You have a minute to change between scenes (or before you miss your bus) so you rush to put on your tights — and, of course, snag them on your less-than-perfectly filed toe nails.

What to do: Wolford says to prevent this disaster, you should make sure to take off any rings and other jewelry and definitely file any uneven nails (fingers and toes) so your tights don’t have anything to snag on. But if you do get a snag, applying clear nail polish to it will keep it from getting worse.

And if you don’t have polish or it’s too big of a run, Wolford suggests making like Taylor Momsen and shredding them more so it looks intentional. You might want to add some black eyeliner too, to complete your impromptu rocker-chic look
