Orange, electric blue, fuchsia -- these makeup colors aren't just for the runway. Here's how to wear them everyday
Hot pink isn't just for kids. Instead, it's one of the top trends right now, especially in the form of fuchsia blush. According to Daoud, "A pop of fuchsia is perfect for everyone."
Before you write this bold color off, just know that how you apply your blush makes a huge difference in successfully pulling off this trend. To not look like a clown, "make sure to use just a touch of the color on the apples of your cheeks," says Maderich. (Try Make Up For Ever Powder Blush in Neon Pink, $19.) And to get this color trend right on target, check out these skin tone specific recommendations:
Fair to medium skin tones: Lightly apply the color to the apples of the cheeks. If the fuchsia is still too bright, cover the blush with a translucent powder. To complete the entire look, Maderich suggests adding a paler shade of fuchsia to the lips.
Darker skin tones: Go for a darker fuchsia hue and apply the color heavily. Maderich favors MAC Powder Blush in Frankly Scarlet, $20. "I love this color -- it's kind of a disco look," he says. For the rest of the face, Maderich suggests a neutral, taupey eye, and "for a night look, a slight cat-eye to punch it up," he says.
