Orange on the Eyes

If you're seeing orange everywhere, it's no coincidence. Every year, the ultimate color authority, Pantone, picks a new "color of the year." For 2012, that color is Tangerine Tango -- so expect to see a lot more orange until 2013.

Why should you give it a try? Besides being the hippest color right now, orange hues can do wonders for your eye color. It makes blue eyes pop, and also accentuates brown eyes, says Doud. Just keep in mind that orange eyeshadow makes a big statement, so don't overdo the rest of your face. Instead stick with a creamy nude lipstick and a coral blush.

According to Doud, "The key is to layer; start with a sheer application and add that bright pop of color onto the lid or into the crease and finish with a sweep of bronzer on your face for a sun-kissed glow."
