Orange, electric blue, fuchsia -- these makeup colors aren't just for the runway. Here's how to wear them everyday
I admit it: I'm not a risk-taker when it comes to makeup. I only wear light pink balm on my lips. I sometimes apply a light pink blush to my cheeks. And I never even attempt a color other than nude on my lids. So when I see crazy makeup colors come down the runway, I run the other way.
So imagine my horror when I saw this season's models parading around in purple lipstick, fuchsia blush, and tangerine eyeshadow. Color is here in a big way ... and I kinda need to accept it. Hoping to gain some insight, I reached out to the pros, like Nars National Makeup Stylist Janice Daoud and celebrity makeup artist David Maderich. They didn't disappoint. Not only did they give great application advice, but also amazing product recommendations based on skin tone. It doesn't get any easier than that.

After all that talk, I found myself reconsidering my boring makeup routine. Would I really die if I tried some electric blue eyeshadow? Probably not. (Though my boyfriend would probably be a little shocked.) Time to add "try color" to my to-do list. And even if I wimp out, Daoud and Maderich gave me plenty of color variation ideas to create a softer effect.
What about you? Are you ready to try these colors in all of their bright and bold glory? Leave your answer in the comment box below.
