Makeup look no. 2: Flirty, dramatic eyes

If you want to make your eyes pop against a boring cap and gown, you have two options:

Do a fresh, clean and bright eye like Christina Milian’s. Just “choose a color that is lighter than your skin tone,” says Cruz (for Milian’s look, Nemes recommends Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow in Fatal, $20.) “Blend a hint of it in the crease of your eye and use it as a smudged liner on the bottom and top lash lines with a smudge brush,” says Nemes.

Or do a soft, smoky look like America Ferrera’s. “Use a charcoal or bronze pencil [try Sephora Jumbo Eye Pencil in Grey, $4] to sketch a line across your top and bottom lashes, then gently smudge it for a dusty effect around your eyes,” says Cruz. Make sure you finish your look with several coats of mascara, and keep your lips neutral.
