They're fun, gorgeous and attention-getting, not to mention totally easy to do
Foil is the new metallic, but better. They're impossible to mess up, since you don't have to worry about that uneven look you get from metal polishes (we were sold on that fact alone). To get this look, place little flakes of gold foil (try So Easy Foil Tape, $15) on top of your nails with a tweezer and press them down firmly. Wait until the foil sets, and then apply a clear topcoat on top of the entire nail.
If that seems like too much work, you can just "cheat" by using nail polish to achieve the foil effect. There are tons of collections out there that are perfect for this look, like the Orly Foil FX Collection, $7.50 each and Zoya Sparkle Collection, $7 each. We actually used Avon Instant Manicure Dry Nail Enamel Strips, $10.50, instead.
