These looks from Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week are supposed to be for spring 2012, but they're so cool, we're trying them now -- as should you
Trust me, this lip shade is totally wearable -- if you get the right texture. MAC makeup artist Romy Soleimani, who created this look for the Milly show, says to skip the gloss and go for a satin finish. Bright pink gloss can look cheap, but a semi-matte lipstick looks classy, even if it's neon pink.
To get this lip look, Soleimani mixed MAC Lipmix in White and Fuschia, $14.50 each, and applied the mix with a brush. If the color is too intense, you can always blot or add more white to tone it down. It's also important to keep the rest of your face neutral with a color this bright; that means basic foundation, a nude blush, a pale pink eyeshadow, and lots of mascara.
