Smoky Metallic Eyes

The smoky eye is forever on-trend, but this season's updated twist on the look is a dramatic dark eye with a hint of shimmer. Perfect for a holiday party, a smoky metallic eye is a super fast way to give off a sexy, romantic vibe. Wood tells us how to get the look:

1. First, apply a primer to your eyelid so the shadow will stay put.
2. Using a brush, apply a dark metallic shadow with a high shine like Make Up Forever Eyeshadow in Diamond Black, $21, over your lid, blending out into your eyelid crease to your liking. For a more dramatic look, blend further out, closer to your brow bone.
2. For a darker, even smokier effect, smudge in a little black eyeliner into your lower lash line.
3. Finish with two coats of mascara.
