Prep your skin

Before you apply anything on your face, swipe your skin with a cotton ball soaked in toner to mattify and minimize pores, says Nemes (try Olay Oil Minimizing Toner, $5.99). Then apply a generous amount of sunscreen to your face, neck and ears. No skipping -- unless you want a tan line across your forehead? Didn't think so.

Once the sunscreen has absorbed, apply a thin layer of primer to your skin -- this will "keep makeup on even in hot and humid conditions," says Cruz. Now dab a tiny bit of concealer where you need it, and then smooth tinted moisturizer over your face to even out your skin tone (try Sonia Kashuk Tinted Moisturizer, $12.99), says Cruz.
