OK, so we can't take credit for the term "fun run." It's the phrase Registered Dietician Andrea N. Giancoli used when she was in college, and is exactly what it sounds like -- those late night junk food runs. As any student knows, it's a normal part of college life. "A lot of junk, like candy, can seem like a reward, especially when you've been studying all night," Giancoli explains.
But -- and you know what's coming -- eating junk is not a healthy way to deal with stress, and certainly not a healthy way to eat. So if you want to skip the extra poundage associated with stress, say goodbye to fun runs and hello to healthy snacking.
