This morning I find myself sitting in the front row at the Polyvore Live show, which is sponsored by CoverGirl. (Before you start thinking that I’m much cooler than I actually am, know that there are only two rows.)

Celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa created three different looks: a beachy side braid, textured waves, and a woven, braided updo. She says she is most inspired by the models’ personal styles, because at this show they aren’t models at all, but fashion bloggers like Natalie from Natalie Off Duty and Alicia Lund of Cheetah is the New Black.

When these “normal” girls hit the runway, I can’t believe the poise, confidence and, most of all, how well they walk! Models can be beautiful, but many of them look like a different breed of human altogether — this is a refreshing change.
