Finish with easy-going curls
1. Start with dry, day-old hair. Using a flat iron, start at the top of the head and straighten small sections of hair. When you reach the mid-point of the hair, roll the barrel and continue sliding to the end of the hair. This should create a curl that looks more natural. Slide the iron in one single, smooth motion to make sure the iron doesn’t create a crease in the hair.
2. Continue this technique, alternating the direction of the curl. After you curl each piece, pull the section of hair down with your fingers while the hair is still warm to loosen the curl.
3. Use a small amount of pomade (Try Got2b Playful Texturizing Creme Pomade, $4), and twist the curls around your fingers to create a more defined curl.
4. Finally, spray the entire look with a light hold hairspray and a shine spray. Try Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Glossing Spray, $3.30.
