Day 17: Scared straight
Because I have such coarse, wavy hair, getting it stick-straight is no easy feat. So I gave myself an extra half hour this morning and went for it. My goal: That full-frontal bang, super-straight look. To get it started, I added some anti-frizz serum to my damp hair and dried it with a paddle brush. Then I sectioned it with duck-bill clips into three chunks (one at the nape, one mid, and one top — the crown). Then I straightened it with my ceramic straightener, in 1-inch pieces, taking my time on each one. I also went over my bangs so those would be super-straight too and I finished with my usual shine serum. I’d like to think I succeeded, and at work, I got confirmation — my boss didn’t even recognize me from behind (still not sure if that was a good or bad thing though).
