Chop for charity
Ashley, 25, from Atlanta, Ga., was growing out Rapunzle-length hair, but not because she particularly liked long hair — she was growing it for charity. When she went in for her big day, the hairdresser ended up cutting off 13 inches. “It was kind of a mess,” says Ashley, because they simply put her hair in a ponytail and chopped it off. “If I were doing it again, I would have probably splurged on a hair salon that could have salvaged at least an ounce of my coif decency,” says Ashley, who often kept it in two playful “Minnie Mouse” style buns. On the flipside, it was refreshing to have all that hair off her shoulders, and the fact that it went to charity made it that much more tolerable.
