Slicked back
Hayden Panettiere shocked us all when she went this short, but her teased updo works well with choppy layers. To get it:
1. This look works best on unwashed hair. Use a teasing comb to tease the top layer of your hair until you get the height you want.
2. Mist the top of your head with a ton of strong-hold hairspray to prevent it from falling flat.
3. Then run a dab of styling gel through your ends, and comb through for a slick look.
4. (For a straighter look, run a flat iron over your hair before applying any product.)
