Hair Dare: New Year, New Look

Day 17: Double Happiness

OK people: this looks harder than it is — I swear. Using any stage of hair (clean or dirty), you can twist and braid until what you’ve got is something that wasn’t hard to do, but looks really time-consuming.

Get the Look:

Starting with a deep side part, begin the ole-faithful two-piece French braiding technique, but only start an inch away from your hairline and twist toward your nose—left over right—this time, instead of away from your face like usual. Twist all the way to the ends and leave tail hanging. Just above the twist, create a second, one-inch row, but do a three-piece, reverse French braid. Again, braid all the way to the tips and secure with an elastic. Twist the two tails together and gather that new twist with the remainder of your hair into a bun at the base of your neck. Secure with bobby pins.
