Coming off the runway-esque bold brows, I thought I’d try something similar to those black lips that were so popular last year, only I did a deep eggplant purple instead. I used to have a goth-like deep violet MAC lipstick that would have been perfect for this, but I couldn’t find it, so I mixed Clinique Kohl Shaper in Black Honey, $15.50, with a black eyeliner pencil and topped it with clear lip treatment to keep it from drying out. I didn’t want to do a bare face again so I rubbed Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten, $18 all over my eyelids, then lightly patted on (so the color would be more vibrant) a chartreuse/lime green MAC eyeshadow … hence the name “Eggplant.”
