We had our doubts, but Bumble and bumble hairstylist Rudy Lewis convinced us at the Monique Lhullier show that you don’t need bobby pins to secure your hair. (Well, what actually convinced us was seeing the model hours later, still with perfect hair). For his elaborate bun, he only used hair elastic and hairspray, no bobby pins. In order to secure the hair he wrapped around the elastic, Lewis sprayed it with a strong-hold hairspray (he used Bumble and bumble Classic Hairspray, $21) and then blasted it with a blow dryer to dry.
