MAC makeup artist Nadine Luke did this intentionally at the Rosa Cha show, but she said it’s a great method whenever you want lip color but are short on time. What she did: applied a little lip pencil just to the inner part of the lips, then swiped a lip balm on top. The balm helps the pencil spread and overall it looks like a very natural flush of color on your lips — and you don’t have to worry about smudging.
