This clean, minimalistic look came about accidentally. We were originally planning to do a “half-moon manicure” like Dita Von Teese’s nails. But once we started drawing the black lines, we were struck with new inspiration.

What we used:
• Milani Nail Lacquer in Bare With Me, $4
• Milani Nail Art Lacquer with Precision Brush in Black Sketch, $3.99

• Sparitual True Bond Topcoat, $15

How we got the look:
Step 1. Just like the leopard print look, Anna started by painting my nails light pink. (Again, you can apply two coats for a more opaque look.)

Step 2. Once the base was dry, she used the fine-tipped black brush to draw arched lines on each of my nails. Anna changed up the pattern on each nail for a modern “art deco” vibe.

Step 3. We finished with a clear topcoat over the look.
