Russell, a former Disney star and Neutrogena girl, had her first starring role on the WB’s “Felicity.” With her long, curly hair, she was instantly recognizable, but when the show premiered for its second season fans were shocked. Russell had shed her trademark curls for a short, cropped look. Ratings dropped and execs blamed it entirely on her hair. One exec reportedly said, “No one is cutting their hair on this network again.” Who knew a haircut had so much power?
