Eyes:
Step 1: Fill in your brows with a slightly lighter shade of eyeshadow. (Gotta get those basics in first.)
Step 2: Sweep a copper or medium burnt sienna shadow from crease to brow bone. Try Revlon ColorStay Mineral Shadow in Tiger Eye, $7.49.
Step 3: Pick a purple shadow. The darker your skin, the brighter the pigment you can use. So if you’re pale as a cloud, pick lavender; if you’re tan, pick plum or orchid; if you’re dark, pick bright violet, yadayada. Look for something with a slight pinkish undertone (versus a bold hot pink) to help bring out more of your hazel-ness. Try Urban Decay Deluxe Eye Shadow in Fishnet, $18. (Shy? Step 4: Smudge the purple shadow (or liner if you chickened out) around your lash line. And start small; you don’t want to look like a psychedelic raccoon. “If you want to stay rad and ‘with it,’ a little less is more,” Arlt says.
