1. Choose black mascara over brown to make already colorful eyes pop even more. “The point in going bold is to make your eyes stand out,” Macki says.



2. First, apply a coat of mascara to the top of your lashes. This will cover up any eyeshadow powder that may have migrated from your lids.



3. Work the mascara brush into the very base of your lashes then shimmy it back and forth until you get to the lash tips. “Getting as close to your lashline as possible will make your lashes look thicker and longer as it creates the illusion of more depth,” Macki says.



4. Apply the second coat in the same way to the bottom of lashes.
