Makeup Dare: 30 Days, 30 Looks

Day Four: Purple haze

This was definitely one of my favorite looks, but it was so hard to get off at the end of the night (really a shame, otherwise I’d do it way more often). I was headed to a party, so I went for a dark, kohl-rimmed purple smoky eye. I started with three shades of Make Up For Ever eye shadow, $19, from deep metallic purple to lilac to pale lavender. I blended really, really well with a shadow brush, smudging around the entire eye. Then I traced around my eye with a generous dose of black Make Up For Ever Waterproof Eyeliner, $22, lining the inner rims of my eyes too. I even dipped a small, pointed brush in waterproof mascara to fill in the holes and get a really black, inky finish. On the cheeks, I used a peachy-pink cream blush, and on the lips, a nude lip liner and gloss. The final look was seriously seductive.
