Hair tip #2: Stick to soft waves
Unless you already have a long, slim face (in which case you wouldn’t be reading this in the first place), don’t overuse your flat iron. Super straight hair that frames your face will make your head look smaller, which widens your face. (Greasy hair will only add to this effect, because it makes hair look even limper, says LA-based hairstylist Eric Sebbag.)
Try this instead: Start with clean, dry hair and work in a volumizing product. Then wrap sections of hair around a large barrel curling iron to get soft waves. If they are too full at first, brush them out with a paddle brush to loosen them up. Cat Deeley’s hairstyle is super flattering, isn’t it?
