How to do it: MAC makeup artist Nadine Luke helped us tackle not one, but two awesome makeup looks, all on one face. She shares tips to get the perfect smoky eye, and lip color that actually looks like what you bought:

• Add color gradually [to your smoky eye], you can always add more as you go to intensify. Take your time.



• If you have small eyes: Don’t apply the shadow much past your crease — keep the intensity close to the lashline. And avoid lining inner rims; [skipping it] will make eyes look bigger/more open.



• To soften the edges of a smoky eye easily: dust powder around the edges for a sexy blended look. Use a large shadow brush and pressed or loose powder.



• And for those lips: Apply a bit of foundation to your lips to cancel out the color so you get the lipstick color as it looks in the tube.
